GPs and clinicians working in an out of hours primary care setting could benefit from a new one day masterclass, which aims to emphasise the ‘golden’ rules of out of hours practice.
The course – facilitated by regular BJFM contributor Dr Sharon Raymond – will take place on July 12 at Leroy House, London. It will cover the principles, pitfalls, challenges and guidance for clinicians working in the unscheduled primary care setting, covering the different modes of working - telephone triage, home visits, primary care centre and urgent care centre work.
There will also be a focus on common and complex presentations, and on the learning from recurrent themes in complaints and incidents that arise in unscheduled care.
This course has previously achieved Royal College of GPs accreditation, and has been delivered at the GMC offices in Central London, with contributions from GMC Regional Liaison Advisors.
